Ancient Egypt - Main Page

This is the main page for the 6th grade Egypt project. The following sites have more than one of the subjects which the students must research.

Nova Online This is the main page for Nova, but some of the other pages will be listed again below on more specific subjects.

Ancient Egypt : History Links 101 - This site has  numerous links, well organized and documented. It covers daily life and, under Art, the pyramids and temples, etc.  It is also a great site for PICTURES.

From this page you can go to numerous other pages on the history of Ancient Egypt and many other topics.

Odyssey Online : Egypt - This site has a little of everything in it - daily life (clothing, jewelry, etc.), geography,  climate, and even some of the games they played.

Mysteries of Egypt - A good site from the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation. Especially good is the Egyptian Civilization page.

Anthony's Egyptology and Archaeology - This site has a great deal of information and a clickable glossary.


Exploring Ancient World Cultures: Index of Internet Resources
This site provides the ability to just browse Egypt chronologically or to use a search engine to locate specific information in the entire Ancient and Medieval Internet. Reading level is a bit high on this one.

Ancient Egypt This site (from the British Museum) contains links to information on mummification, gods and goddesses, and everyday life.

Akhet Egyptology: horizon to the past - This site has many links to information on mummies, mythology, the afterlife and more.

Ancient Egypt - from A to Z - This site may be searched for specific topics, or you can browse through the list of topics.

Aspects of Life in Ancient Egypt - This site contains information on various aspects of life in ancient Egypt: Society, geography, economy, institutions, daily life etc. 

Cleveland Museum of Art - Rosetta Stones's Site - This site contains a little information on food, clothing,  pyramids, and making papyrus.

Guardian's Egypt - This site has many links  to other sites on Gods/Goddesses, mummies, pyramids and hieroglyphics. Be sure to check the sites listed at the bottom of the page for MANY more sites full of information.
