Language Arts

Sight Words

By the end of kindergarten, all students should know the sight words in list 1. By the end of first grade they should have mastered through sight words list #5. By the end of grade two, all students should know all sight words in lists 1-9.  

Practice at home will assist students in learning these words so they are able to read them without prompts or sounding them out.   Knowing these words will increase their reading fluency and story comprehension.   Click on the sight word list your child is currently working on and you will be able to print out the list to make word cards.
