SCIENCE

 Our weather person will be recording the weather and temperature each day and will share it with us at our afternoon meeting.

Students are working on a unit in science lab called Changes.  They made water (liquid) into ice (a solid) by freezing it.  Then they saw that a solid can be changed back to a liquid.  Students created their own experiment to see the quickest way to melt the ice.  One group did it very quickly by putting the ice in a bag and holding it under hot water.  The following lab, they observed how a liquid can be changed to a gas.

Keep watching for other changes your scientist discovers.

SOCIAL STUDIES
The character education word of the month is responsibility.  

In social studies we have been learning about the groups we belong to.  School is a group we are part of and you should come look at the classroom maps we made to represent our room.
