The site supports constructivist learning where students create their own knowledge through active participation in a complex, meaningful task.

Student learning through engagement with the site supports NYS Learning Standards and curricular goals defined by Mohonasen Central Schools.

The site takes advantage of the dynamic nature of the Internet. Links point to resources that are typically difficult to attain in print form (ie. real time data, primary source documents, data generated through collaboration with learners from distant geographic areas).

All MCS Web-Authoring Regulations are met.

The site's usefulness extends beyond the author.
1. The site is set up in such a way that other teachers (both within and outside the district) find it beneficial to use in instruction.
2. The site is set up in such a way that parents can use it to help extend the learning environment for their children.
